What are the chefs loving about this season?!
“This season I have really enjoyed working with the bounty and abundance of this incredibly diverse property. It is a luxury to be able to create menus that are representative of both season and region and it is an honor to be able to nourish the community at our shared tables.
I’ve found pleasure working alongside all the intelligent and creative folks that make up the Rainshadow team. I feel truly blessed to be able to learn as well as share knowledge with such an intentional group.”
-Chef Maraziti
“It has been an amazing season learning and cooking to the rhythm of the farm. Working and collaborating with such a knowledgeable team has proven to be such a joy.
It has also been a great pleasure sharing this wonderful farm with you all through our garden dinners, brunches, and private events.
So far this year I have most enjoyed learning and creating traditional pasta dishes for our guests and baking sweet treats and hearty breads for our farmers.”
-Matthew Jayne

Getting married at Rainshadow Organics is a one-of-a-kind Central Oregon experience. We offer a unique setting which honors the beauty of Central Oregon.
Surrounded by living gardens and the Central Oregon Cascades, our two rustic outdoor ceremony settings will always be remembered for their magic by the couples and their guests.
Our weddings and events are a full Farm-to-Table experience: our appetizers and meals are exclusively crafted from vegetables and animals raised right here on our organic farm and table decorations are crafted from flowers and greenery sourced from our working gardens. Relish in the idea that your wedding meal is a one off creation.
Meet our Event Coordinator, Mel Harmon
Hi There!
I’m the gal behind the scenes setting the event dates, working with you to coordinate your private event, cultivating our wine list (one of my favorite tasks), and striving to ensure all of our guests have a phenomenal experience while dining with us.
I love creating events that showcase this land. It is inspiring to witness and facilitate our community gathering during the golden hour to feast upon the bounty our farmers have cultivated.
I also love building new relationships and bringing in partnering businesses that have outstanding ethics. To be able to share the platform that Rainshadow has built to help lift other small businesses up is so special.
I hope that you’ll join us for one of our remaining Garden Dinners (the last one is October 1st)!

Did you know we received a SARE Grant?
SARE stands for Sustainable Agriculture Research and Education.
SARE offers competitive grants to fund research and education projects that advance sustainable agricultural practices in the United States.
Rainshadow’s grant was given for the study of “Determining if Comfrey Fermented Plant Juice is a viable alternative to traditional purchased fertilizers.”
All of the farmers’ hard work is culminating in a grant presentation and farm tour on September 15th at 1 pm.
If you are a farmer, home gardener, or someone who is interested in soil science and may benefit from learning about Fermented Plant Juice, we would love to have you attend.
The day will begin at 1 pm with lunch on our farm store porch with the grant team. After lunch the grant team will share their preliminary results from their project.
They will also discuss how to make and use fermented comfrey plant juice.
Tickets are available on our website or by clicking on the photo link below.
